I'm doing well despite the current state of the union. However, because the economy is in crap shape, I'm cutting my commission fee by 20% if anybody wants something. What used to cost $50 now costs $40, and so forth. Drop me a line. To clarify (since some have asked), I'm not hard up for cash. I'm adjusting my commission fees to give a break to folks who want something.

I was there for the original in 1984. Even paid twice to see it in the cinema before it came out on VHS. Bought the soundtrack back in the days of LPs, played the grooves off of it (and discovered German jazz saxophonist Klaus Doldinger in the process). Read the book, and was very surprised to find the movie only covers the first half or so--there's SO much that happens after that. In the last couple of years a friend in Germany helped me get the extended version, in English, on blu-ray. This film made a profound impact on my life when I was a nipper, and would strongly influence me as an artist and storyteller for the rest of my life. Unfortunately director Wolfgang Petersen has since gone on to his reward. I'm very happy to see they're doing a special showing in cinemas for the 40th anniversary.
